Burbank Voice started as it was felt that too much was happening in Burbank that was unreported. Burbank Voice exists to speak truth to power and do the investigations and analysis that no one else in our city will do. Besides focusing on our elections and the money spent, we have looked into the sweetheart deals made and highlighted others’ relevant reporting.

You are all welcome to come along on this ride which is the absurdity of Burbank. However, we have received messages requesting that Burbank Voice take on certain deep dives. We must now clarify what Burbank Voice does not do:

We do not perform investigations based on your personal vendetta against a community member.

We do not pry into the reasons why someone was hired, fired, or any other employment circumstances, even if they are employed by the City or BUSD. This is someone’s personal and confidential information and is not our business and frankly it is not your business either.

We only perform investigations based only on publicly accessible information that anyone can access on the internet. We will not confront, interview or otherwise seek out public officials or private citizens as part of our reporting. We pursue facts, try to connect the dots, but also understand that while we state our conclusions everyone should look at the information as well and use, yes, your critical thinking.

We thank our new followers and the support that you have shown. But know that if and when those who hold the power changes in Burbank, so shall the focus of Burbank Voice.
